It's not the Pheonix themselves who are corrupt but
the Magic Horde. The stronghold lets you use any
shugenja you want. Shadowlands has some powerful
shugenja who often pop up in Pheonix decks around
here. Shahai can also be powerful when used with
sympathetic energies. The stronghold also lets you
get Kihos back after being played. I don't see many
kiho's being reused but the few I do see are mostly
maho. This isn't new to the Pheonix clan either. The
first stronghold didn't care about clan affiliation.
7 gold will go a long way to bringing out any shugenja
but they will be shadowlands. If you aren't scared of
Iris festival then there shouldn't be much of a
problem. Jama Suru fits into PPD along with Touch of
Fu Leng and many other black scrolls. Most
Shadowlands kill actions are spell effects. The ring
of Air will protect you from these. Recent decks have
become less corrupt though. The Pheonix tends to
become corrupt jsut after the release of a new
stronghold adn slowly remove their taint. The new arc
and related stronghold might make them sorrupt again
might make them corrupt again.
