War in Rokugan

Wow! What a great idea! My last gaming store we played multiplay all the
time and we had a blast. Play what ever you want, I truly believe that
these games are won and lost based on the players interaction, not the best
deck. Typically, the first deck that threatens victory is punished
severely, and after that things open up.
I would play a slow honor runner or Enlightenment, and make tons of friends.
One thing I always did was to play tons of mutually beneficial events like
Chrys fest, than of course I would always say you are welcome. I would also
always suck up to the fasteset/most aggressive player there, and just say
"tell me what I can do for you".

I would keep this up for awile and then as the bulls-eye got painted on
someone, and the first attack was declared I would make my move. What move
depended on how things set up, but again, I always felt these games depended
on the players interaction. I have seen way too many newbies/crappy players
win multi because everyone else was slugging it out and over looked the
other guy.

As for who to play, well I must admit I always used Kokujin and For the
Empire x3 (and just think of Kokujin regular with Nunchuk and C1 at aT =)).
Hitomi and Tashima are just brutal together, and Hoshi and Yokuni exp are
nothing to sneeze at, still I would pobably keep it to 3 big guys max and
about 5 mid game guys (7 to 9 gold).

Bottom line use your head, make friends, and always act like you have a
Kolat Master/Assassin/some personality killer in your hand to keep that one
player in line :). Good luck and have fun.

Take care,
Rob- Mirumoto Shokan
