I ran 18 personalities, 13 holdings, 1 region, and 8 events.
Actually, here's the decklist, with some strategy. It's 40/40 open, and won
me our last sword tourney.
Dynasty:
personalities:
Hitomi Iyojin (x3)
Hitomi Iyojin xp
< <Iyojin is the only first-turn personality, barring One Koku or
Inheritance. I chose him because he's easy to use, still turn one against
a Nio, and so very effective against military, the dominant strategy here
locally.> >
Hitomi Kagetora (x3)
Togashi Kama (x3)
Togashi Mitsu (x3)
Hitomi Juppun (x3)
Doji Reju xp2
Hitomi xp2
< <She's not tattooed, but she's relatively fast for her force. Dragon's
selection of effective big peeps is pretty limited, so a 5/4 uninked samurai
with no ability (because that's what she is in this context) is actually a
valuable addition to the deck.> >
holdings:
Hiruma Dojo (x3)
Goldsmith
Dragon Dancers (x2)
< <This is inefficient gold, but I wanted to run Plague of Locusts to hose
gold shcemes that Dragon just can't compete with, and this was the best I
could do.> >
Jade Works (x3)
Dragon Charter
Gold Mine (x3)
region:
Golden Sun Plain
events:
Enemy of my Enemy
< <This replaced Winter Warfare, to prevent being bowed by the favor.> >
The First Scroll is Opened
Imperial Ambassadorship
Imperial Census
Inheritance
Moon and Sun
Plague of Locusts
Return of Fu leng
< <Most of these events can be game-breaking, so Moon and Sun is there to
let them break the game twice.> >
fate:
sensei:
Yodin Sensei
< <This and Imperial Census were the building blocks of the deck. I saw
how well they could work together, and built everything else around.> >
followers:
Berzerkers (x3)
Shireikan (x2)
< <Very cool follower. Just remember that it counts against Yodin Sensei>
>
Warriors of the Great Climb
items:
Ancestral Sword of the Dragon
Armor of Earth
Gohei's Daisho
Kitsuki Kaagi's Journal
tattoos:
Dragonfly Tattoo (x3)
Hummingbird Tattoo (x2)
< <It's not as effective as Rallying Cry, but with Yodin, keeping your
personalities in action as much as posible is vital. This is also why I
excluded Dragon and Centipede Tattoos.> >
Mountain Tattoo (x3)
actions:
Avoid Fate (x3)
Coordinated Strike (x3)
Deadly Ground (x2)
Egg of P'an Ku
< <Like Shireikan, this counts against the one-per-turn restriction on
Yodin, so save it until you have all holdings in your provinces, and the way
it copies tattoos is way cool.> >
Investigation (x2)
< <PK is the doom of this deck, and most PK consists of kolat and ninja
cards. Thus, Investigation is very useful.> >
One Koku (x3)
<Makes Mitsu, Kagetora, and Kama first-turners. One game, I even scored
Inheritance and One Koku for a Juppun.> >
Rallying Cry (x3)
Superior Tactics (x3)
ring:
Ring of the Void
To play the deck, have patience. By turn 3, you'll start outforcing your
opponent, maybe unless it's Lion tactician, in which case, you're screwed.
:P Don't discard too much. In fact, always leave one holding and one
personality in your provinces if you can, in case you pull nothing but
personalities or holdings the next turn.
