Sorry, you have Mirumoto Yukihara confused with Mirumoto Satsu.  Satsu was 
the older brother of Hitomi, the beloved brother whose death at the hands of 
Yakamo drove her into her quest for revenge.

Naming the kid Satsu was a way of uniting the Hitomi and Hoshi factions of 
the clan.  Those of us who follow Hitomi thought that it was a very, very 
cool gesture.  This is just supposition on my part, but I think Ree didn't 
think of this until after the name Yoshune appeared on flavor text, so they 
had to come up with "Your name to the public will be Yoshune, but to those 
that know you privately, you will always be Satsu." stuff that appeared in 
one of the Dragon letters.
