Clifton Park Tourney Report (long)

Well, the turnout sucked because of the Toronto Kotei, but it was still a 
pretty fun time.  I was running an honor/duel deck (list below).The clan 
turnout was:

1-Naga
1-Dragon (me)
2-Crane
3-Lion
1-Shadowlands
1-Unicorn
1-Toturi's Army
1-Ninja
1-Crab

4 Rounds of swiss then a 4-man final.

Round 1
Brandon- Corrupt Crab Oni w/O-ushi sensei
Ugh, I hate O-ushi sensei.  I also hate this deck since it's fast as hell.  He 
takes, and brings out a Crab Oni with a One Koku.  Peasant revolt hits on my 
turn, a repreive, but a short lived one.  I didn't see any duels, and tests 
were useless.  Block supply lines and the favor held him off for a bit, but 
not long enough.  I get to 27 honor then get crunched.  Blah, wonderful start.

Round 2
Paul- Toturi's Army follower deck w/ Seppun sensei
He gets a crummy gold start, I get a good gold start going first.  I start 
cranking out people and killing off any annoyances.  I fly up in honor and win 
without him ever attacking.

Round 3
Can't remember his name- Lion w/Akodo Sensei
This guy was a new player who was given a deck from a friend.  He also had 
Hantei sensei in his deck, and a sheet of paper telling him what to call 
against certain people (like FtH against Kaede sensei).  He didn't have 
anything on Dragon...pity that is. ;)  We go back and forth, I get a decent 
start and get ahead in honor.  He puts a clansword on a lonely ken'o and 
attacks, I duel him with Mio (and yoshi helping of course).  We get into a 
dueling war, I win by 2 (yay toshimoko sensei!) and the game is pretty much 
over from there.  He makes one last attack with everyone at my last non-clan 
heartland province.  All my people defend.  I give him 16 honor, but keep my 
province.  I honor out, clan heartland plus another province, and I win.  
Phew.

Round 4
Ray (our T.O.) Unicorn Tactition stuff w/ Yodin sensei.
I get a great start. Hiruma Dojo/Inheritance/Sanctified Temple/Small Farm.  He 
gets an ok one with a Hiruma Dojo and a SF.  I bring out Yoshi and more money.
 I start cranking out honor and testing or dueling his Asami's away.  I honor 
out easily, and he takes only a single province.

Woohoo!  Finals baby!

Finals round 1
The other lion player  w/ Hantei sensei
He goes first, flips over an Imp. Gift.  Oh joy, more honor that I need to 
make up.  He grabs some money.  My turn, all people.  Damn.  The whole game I 
get a SF for money.  He gets much better.  He steamrolls me.  Dammit.

Playing for 3rd
Chris- Ninja Tactition deck w/ Kaede Sensei
He gets a pretty good start.  Most of my actions get cancelled when I target 
him.  He runs me over relatively quickly.  I get 4th.  D'oh.

Overall placings were:
1st- Connor Alexander using Naga enlightenment
2nd- Lion Player (sorry, can't remember your name) from Finals Round 1
3rd- Chris Lagrone using ninja tactition
4th- Me using Dragon Dueling

Ok, here's the decklist.  It seems to be a pretty solid deck, though 
improvements are always good.
