Hmm...I remember declining to go to the prerelease of the set before Spirit 
Wars because I hadn't been playing long enough, so sometime around then.

Definitely.  The existence of a Dragon faction was one of the bigger reasons 
I picked up the game.

The first series of real novels I ever read was Anne McCaffrey's 
Dragonriders of Pern, which got me hooked on reading and on scifi/fantasy.  
The mascot at my high school was a dragon, and the school colors were green 
and yellow.  Didn't take much to pick a clan.

Well, I winning a decent amount before Gold edition, but I'm having a 
terrible time of it now.

>Have you noticed any trends about players that favor another clan?

Not really, except that the players who used to be the biggest bandwagoners 
around here also played Magic competitively.  It also kind of seems like the 
people here with the most clan loyalty don't play too many other card games 
(though there's not that many other players here, and I play plenty of other 
card games, so maybe I don't know what I'm talking about).
