I don't know.   In a limited environment like Gold is right
now, it does suck that we have so many archetypes to fill. 
 However, in the later days of jade, I really dug taking a
completely different deck to every tournament: shugenja
military one week, dishonor the next, Akodo honor the next,
and my personal favorite - tattooed Yodin - the next.  
Clans like Lion, Crab, and Toturi didn't have the freedom
to tinker like that.   On the other hand, Lion and Toturi
didn't have as much trouble winning.

Yeah, a buster zumi or two would really help.   However, I
also want to see more shugenja (a couple more and I'll
break Fire and Air and Bronze Lantern wide open), Mirumoto
samurai, and Kitsuki magistrates (where the heck are
they?).   Tattooed military is a good focus for us, but we
have a lot of other things due us.

That will get you nowhere.   If you feel we're lacking (and
we are), you'll get a lot more done by calmly, rationally
writing to Dave and/or Jeff and stating your case why we
need better cards, and making some card suggestions.
During my time on L5RInfo, I saw time and again how moaning
and kvetching only garnered antipathy, while rational
argumentation and constructive criticism brought positive
attention and change.   
I do feel we should contact the design team with our
concerns, but not with an ultimatum.   Rather, we should
evenly lay out our concerns and indicate easy ways to
improve deficiencies.
