Well the tactical seasons of the crane is over, I just wanted to thank those
that offered a tip or two, let everyone know how things went and to post
the final deck list.

We started to play L5R tactical at exactly 12 noon on sunday and from then
on it was 5 straight hours of political deal making, battles and
maneuvering.
25 players showed up for this one marking it as the largest L5R tournament
Calgary, Alberta has had to date. We played the 3 generals game and the
Uni ended up with a Daimyo who didn't play the card game at all but was
allowed to participate in the political game.

Highlights:
-Brokering a lasting non-aggression pact with the lion that was never
broken.
-Facing the phoenix two on two second turn of the game and allowing them
to leave as long as they went south and then as soon as the lion engaged
them taking all of their lands in 4 short turns with only one small battle.
-Sweeping Uni provinces to leave us with 22 points at the two hour mark in
the game the second closest was crab at 13.
-Loosing most of our gains due to two things. 1. allowing the uni to reform
ONE of their units back. 2. the long pitched battle the lion had with the
last
two phoenix units never finished them off and eventually caused the lion to
declair peace against them since they couldn't win and were on the verge of
total destruction when the crane decided to help out.

It was alot of fun reguardless and even in periods of inactivity was not
boaring at all. The final standings were as follows:

1. Unicorn (Their final blitz into scorpionand lion lands did it for them)
15 points
2. Dragon (Last minute grab for points nearly has us tied up for the win) 13
points
3. Lion (After suing for peace they proceeded to take most of the crane
lands) 9 points
