[Dragon-new] [dragon] Dragon/Crab unity?

My husband and I are relatively new to the L5R card game and we came across a 
perplexing dilemma just a moment ago.  Since I am a Dragon member, I thought 
I'd ask (he is a Crab).

He just noticed on his Mirumoto Taiu card that the picture is of a Crab clan 
member.  Why is this?  His armor and weaponry all indicate that he is a Crab, 
yet he is listed as a Dragon clan member.  What is the reasoning behind this?
