in a duel, bow her instead of focusing to discard
the last card focused by the opposing Personality.

I think this is a card advantage ability.  Consider this:

You're facing a Lion Tactition.  You have both have 4 fate
cards in your hand.  You play a card to have Echiko duel.

Lion focuses.
Echiko bows.

You now both have 3 fate cards.  You can force the Lion to
strike if you want.  It's not a big advantage but it's what
I've been thinking about getting ready for Gencon.

But her Chi is 3 and she has to bow which means extra cards
to prop her up before she issues that duel.
