We couldn't, though. The choices were to "drive Tamori from our lands,
ignoring the Phoenix" or "ally with Tamori and attack the Phoenix". Both
sucked. There was no choice to "Make Peace with the Phoenix, Slay Tamori,
and Have a Party (like the end of a Rodney Dangerfield movie)". I believe
this is the gist of what Rich and Shawn have been saying. That's why it's a
hard choice.
In other words, by attacking Tamori, we wouldn't kill him, and we wouldn't
be on the Phoenix side--we'd be slaughtered without resisting. Which is a
very noble, Satyagraha-style Dragon maneuver, a la Kikage Zumi Mass
Slaughter at Volturnum. But Hoshi cares enough about the survival of the
clan that we should too. Being killed by Shiba Akira (KANEKAAAAAAA!) is not
a survival plan.

If you're referring to Amanda, she's an exception to a lot of rules. :) You
rock, Amanda, and it's funny to see you as the subject of all this
adulation. Deserved adulation, but funny nonetheless.

If there are more of you, I'll have to really start going to cons! On the
other hand, I think that going to cons purely to see attractive female
gamers might not impress Carolyn so much... ;)
